Re: Formable Nations
Viking kingdom
Rus
Arabia
These are totally ahistorical and should not be able to be formed.
For india it is the Mutapa or something similar empire that you should be able to be formed.

Re: Formable Nations
actually, it's Maurya, but it's named after the dynasty that happened to make the state Magadha huge. I think it'll be fine to just keep it Magadha, even if they get big.
Re: Formable Nations
Also the revolters states of seleucid empire lysimachid kingdom macedonia epirus etc.
Those should form if the ruler of the greek empire dies without a heir

I agree. Does anyone know how to get a nation to revolt that hasn't existed before and that hasn't got any cores on the territory yet? E.g. the way USA can revolt in vanilla?

You make an event that gives them cores the regions that you want and incereases revolt risk in those regions

In vanilla EU3 they do it in a different way I think. I'd like to not make too many pre-programmed events.
Re: Formable Nations
Ok there is a problem
I have written a decision for magna grecia but for some reason it doesn't appear and it freezes after 2 months.

That's strange... on my PC it doesn't freeze.
And if I insert the following in a file called "generic_decision.txt" in the decisions folder:
- Code:
country_decisions = {
generic_decision = {
potential = {
year = 103
}
allow = {
not = { serfdom_freesubjects = 0 }
}
effect = {
innovative_narrowminded = 1
}
ai_will_do = {
factor = 0
}
}
}

:p I was just giving an example to see whether decisions were working. You could of course gradually change this decision to yours, and for each change see if the decision still shows up in-game.

It could be... I have never worked with the meiou graphics so I don't know.

Re: Formable Nations
The modifier files are triggered_modifiers.txt and event_modifiers.txt in the /commons folder if that's what you're asking.

Re: Formable Nations
Sounds good. videonfan, can you update your original list a bit, to include the suggestions from this thread?
Re: Formable Nations
Pontus: You need to control the northeast coast of turkey.
Government form changes to Aristocratic Monarchy and gives cores on Colchis and the Bosporan Kingdom.
Epirus: Need Janina and Messolonghi.
Changes government from to Aristocratic Monarchy and gain cores on these provinces.
Bosporan Kingdom: Need Kaffa, Crimea, Azow and Kouban.

Re: Formable Nations
Hi guys I'm new javascript:emoticonp('') I made a similar mod to this one for myself and what I did was I had all the city states independent with "leagues" that could be formed by subjugation (though in hindsight I think conquest is much better). Taylor asked that I show you guys them. Is there a place to upload the file to or should I just post a bunch of code here for each of the nations so you guys can approve/disapprove of them?

Welcome illapa!
I'd prefer if you uploaded it. http://www.mediafire.com/ works fine.

Re: Formable Nations
I will upload what I had from my mod then tonight. I've been "converting" it to this mod. Unfortunately I had some nations you do not have and you have some nations I do not have so there is still a little work to do but I will have it soon. Also for the Greek colonies that aren't int his mod yet I still have the "formable nation" for them I just put the tags as ??? and you can replace the ? with the tags when/if you create them.

I sent my file to Taylor on the EU3 forums. Apparently I cannot upload anything for 1 week since I just joined -_-

Ok, I was going to post the link myself, but this forum is being strange. When I make a URL out of the following link, it doesn't work. However, if you copy-paste this, but without the space, into the address bar it works fine:

Ok I looked at the decisions, and I think they're great!
A few notes -
Some of the province IDs need to be changed to the newest version.
kingdom of Epirus needs to change govt form to aristocratic monarchy. (this govt form doesn't exist yet though)
These decisions will generally be hard to achieve (and rightly so) because there should be a mechanism that urges Greek nations to release city states they have conquered/colonized. A suggestion might be that the prerequisites for forming these leagues could be not only "owns" certain provinces but "is_subject" (iirc) the correct provinces. The "core" requirement should remain though, otherwise it becomes too easy.
Thoughts?
